In June 2007, 3 Rovers and 2 Leaders from our group went with other rovers for Project Sirius, a conservation project to help project the Sumatran Rhinos. They went to Sabah to build an outpost for rangers so they are better able to protect the area from poachers. Shamir edited a video of the project and it can be found online:

Amazing Race with St. Mags |

Today the Scout Troop had a combined activity with St. Mags. They had an amazing race which included places like CHIJMES, Vivo City and over the Singapore River. So of the games included the mind-numbing game to extract beans from a container full of meal worms to the hand-numbing game of using body heat to melt as much ice as possible. Having hot Scouts and Guides definitely was a plus. Eagle Patol Leader, Alastair Tay said, "I thought the event was a success for most of the groups as they had fun and interacted with one another. The guides enjoyed the event too". |
